- Entrance fee: $6 per vehicle (2 to 8 people), $4 for a single occupant, and $2 for pedestrians and cyclists.
- Hours: the park is open 8 a.m. to sundown, 365 days a year.
- Cabins: Grayton Beach State Park has 30 two-bedroom, one-bath duplex cabins (two are accessible), each with a gas fireplace. Reservations open about 11 months ahead and fill fast, so book at floridastateparks.org or call 800-326-3521.
- Staying current: fees and cabin availability change, so check floridastateparks.org before you go.
📌 Beach access:
- Beach access: Grayton Beach State Park has a main parking area (fee) plus the Van Ness Butler Jr. Regional Beach Access; a county walkway and the state park entrance both lead to the Gulf.
- Accessible: the state park offers beach wheelchairs and a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk to the dunes and Gulf during staffed hours. See the accessible-beaches page.
- Flags & safety: Grayton has a lifeguard + flag pole during season; always check today's flags before swimming.
- Parking: paid lots at the state park and the county access; it fills early on summer weekends.
- Things to do: hike the coastal dune lakes loop in the state park, hit the famous Red Bar vibe (when open), paddle the rare coastal dune lakes, and watch the sunset over the dunes.
- Good to know: Grayton is one of the few 30A towns with a true county-wide beach permit / dog policy nuance. Check dog-friendly beaches.
